Surprise proposals are moments filled with raw emotion, anticipation, and unforgettable beauty. When Will reached out to us to capture his proposal to Talley, we knew it would be a special day. The setting was Grand Teton National Park, a place where nature’s grandeur meets quiet intimacy (in some spots). It's no wonder so many of our couples have decided this would be the perfect location for them to get down on one knee!

Will wanted their proposal to be private, away from crowds and distractions. Grand Teton National Park offers many breathtaking spots, but we focused on finding a quiet open field where the couple could feel completely at ease. The towering Grand Tetons provided a dramatic backdrop without overwhelming the scene. Since we specialize in proposals, we knew a spot that would be just right for this moment. Of course, every love story has to have a little drama. Will had the time, day, and spot all picked out and woudn't you know, the weather had to give us a little scare in the days leading up to their session. Thankfully everything blew over and it created a little bit of overcast lighting which made for perfect soft light for their proposal. Talley’s reaction was priceless, her excitement and joy lit up the entire field. Will, more soft-spoken and reserved, expressed his love with quiet confidence. Their contrasting personalities created a beautiful balance that translated perfectly on camera. The peacefulness of the spot allowed Will and Talley to focus on each other, making the photos feel genuine and intimate.

We focused on capturing candid moments: the nervous anticipation before the proposal, the joyful surprise, and the tender embrace afterward. These authentic emotions tell the story better than any posed shot could. The chemistry between Will and Talley made every frame feel alive and heartfelt. After their proposal, we took Will and Talley to some of our favorite spots in the park. Jenny Lake, with its crystal-clear waters and mountain reflections, provided a stunning setting for more photos.

To end the day, we caught a breathtaking sunset. The sky painted with warm oranges and blues created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly capped off the evening! Capturing Will and Talley’s surprise proposal was a privilege. Their story reminds us how important it is to create a space where couples can be themselves, surrounded by nature’s beauty. The balance between their personalities, the stunning Grand Tetons, and the perfect light made this session truly special.
