Love stories are unique, but some moments stand out as truly unforgettable. This summer, we had the privilege of capturing one such moment—a surprise proposal in the breathtaking surroundings of Jackson Hole. Blake and Morgan’s story is a beautiful example of thoughtful planning, genuine emotion, and natural chemistry, all set against the stunning backdrop of the park’s hidden gems. Unlike many surprise proposals that come together in a few weeks, Blake reached out nearly seven months in advance. It was apparent from the get go how important it was for him to make sure this moment was perfect for Morgan! We spent time discussing every detail, from the timing to the location, ensuring that the setting would match the significance of the occasion.

He wanted a place that felt intimate and special, not just a popular spot but somewhere meaningful and away from the crowds, which is not always easy to do during peak season in the Grand Teton National Park. After exploring several options, we chose a small, unnamed pull-off within the park. This quiet spot has become one of our favorite places for capturing heartfelt moments because it offers a little privacy from some of the more popular locations in the park that can get a little nuts at times.

The day of the proposal was filled with excitement and anticipation. Morgan had no idea what was coming. When Blake got down on one knee, her reaction was priceless. She covered her face with her hands in joyful shock, her smile spreading from ear to ear. It was clear that this was a moment she had dreamed of.

Morgan’s happiness was contagious. From the start, it was obvious she was just as crazy about Blake as he was with her. Their connection shone through every glance and touch, making our jobs as a photographers both easy and rewarding. Blake’s gentle and kind demeanor balanced perfectly with Morgan’s sweet and energetic spirit. Throughout the session, their natural chemistry made every shot feel genuine. They laughed, shared quiet moments, and looked at each other with a warmth that only true love can create. We ended their session at String Lake, one of our favorite spots by the water. The calm lake and the soft glow of the golden hour created a amazing atmosphere, and one that was simply perfect to end on with these cuties!
