WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? DO YOU TRAVEL?

We are located Jackson Hole, Wyoming but we travel often to the surrounding western states including Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Montana.  We also serve the east coast as we have a branch in Asheville, NC.  We aren't afraid to travel and love exploring new locations so wherever you envision your adventure, let’s go!

WHAT IS CONSIDERED AN ELOPEMENT? WHAT IS A WEDDING?

Back in the day, an elopement was considered a wedding where just the bride and groom run away and get married secretly without anyone knowing. As trends have changed, some people now consider an elopement to be a wedding with a small amount of people present. We consider it to be the following:

  • Elopement- 10 guests or less

  • Intimate Wedding- 11-30 guests

  • Traditional Wedding- 30 + guests

WHY DO PRICES DIFFER FOR ELOPEMENTS AND WEDDINGS?

We have different pricing for elopements and weddings based on the amount of time and the amount of guests present. This is because with more guests = more work for us as photographers such as (family photos, coordination, editing more photos, mom-zillas etc lol)

WE WANT TO HAVE OUR ELOPEMENT SOMEWHERE EPIC, DO YOU HELP US PLAN LOCATIONS?

Absolutely!  When it comes to your elopement, we will help you plan out the entire process including where, when, the permitting process, as well as helping to connect you with other local vendors.  NOTE:  While we are happy to provide visuals, we don’t provide names and exact locations until a couple has booked.

I WANT TO GET MARRIED IN GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

On the surface level it can seem intimidating to go through the process, but fear not.  The process is fairly straight forward and simple.  The biggest thing to remember is just give yourself plenty of time.  To start the process and get your location secured before it’s too late, follow this link for more information:  https://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/weddingcommitments.htm

DO I NEED TO GET A MARRIAGE LICENSE TO GET MARRIED IN THE GRAND TETONS? IF SO, HOW DO I GET IT?

Yes and No. There are a couple options

1. Some couples opt to get their marriage license in their home city/state and get legally married there. Then they do a "mock" wedding in the Grand Tetons in their wedding attire and take photos as if they eloped there.

2. If you don't want to do that, you would need to get your get your marriage license issued in the State of Wyoming. There is no waiting period, but both parties need to be present to sign the license. You may get your license in any Wyoming county, but be sure to bring it with you.

I WANT TO ELOPE, BUT I DON’T WANT TO HIKE, ARE THERE OPTIONS FOR ME?

Plenty!  There are so many amazing locations around Jackson Hole and The Grand Teton National Park, many of which still have amazing views, but don’t require long hikes.  There truly is something for everybody.

WE’RE ON A TIGHT BUDGET, DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM PACKAGES?  PAYMENT PLANS?

We offer custom package options tailored specifically for your needs, and we also offer payment plans for our couples.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SUGGEST FOR OUR ELOPEMENT?

We have been a part of elopements that last all day, and we have been a part of intimate elopements that only last an hour.  In general most of our elopement couples are in the 1-4 hour range.  If you’re unsure of exactly how much time you’ll need, give us a shout, we can discuss your vision and plan out the logistics so you can figure out exactly how much time you’ll need for your special day!

CAN WE ELOPE IN THE WINTER?

Yes, yes, yes!  We absolutely love the romantic snowy vibes that come with a winter elopement in Jackson Hole.  Some things to consider before planning your winter elopement in the area are your tolerance too cold, where you can go, traveling into Jackson, and timing.  We don’t recommend flying in that morning to have an elopement that afternoon.  Always give yourself at least one day in between arriving and your elopement during the winter.  Snow fall is heavy in the area and it’s not uncommon to be diverted if a heavy snowstorm hits during your flight.

DO I HAVE PRINTING RIGHTS?  DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE DIGITALS?

With each of our sessions, we release printing rights to you after you have paid us in full.  This allows you to print the images at any photo lab of your choice and use the images online!  You may not however – sell, edit, or advertise the images in any way.  You do not have to purchase digitals.  Included in each of our base packages for weddings, elopements, and portraits is an online gallery with your final edited images (usually 50-100 images per hour delivered).

WHAT EDITS ARE INCLUDED WITH OUR SHOOTS?

With all of our weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions we included basic editing.  This comprises 90% of our portfolio online and would be our ‘look’.  This includes adjustments for exposure, cropping, color correction, contrast, sharpness, shadows, and clarity.  Anything outside of this requested would be considered an advanced edit and we charge on a per photo basis for this.

WHAT IS AN ADVANCED EDIT?

These include but are not limited too:  head swaps, sky swaps, person removal, object removal, stain removal, heavy skin retouching, fly away hair removal, eye swaps, eye glass glare removal, and adding subjects to an image.  We generally get a request for an advanced edit 1 out of every 15-20 weddings.  Since they are not in high demand, we just charge on a per photo basis for these requests.

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?

Usually within a week, we will post several favorites on social media as a sneak peek.  After that, you will receive your final online gallery usually within 4-6 weeks after the session.  Please note, sometimes weddings can take 60 BUSINESS DAYS during peak season.

WILL I ALSO GET THE RAW/UNEDITED IMAGES?

One of the reasons we've been so blessed with our success is because we deliver a high quality final product with our special touch!  Just as a you wouldn't expect a restaurant to give you a half baked pizza, or Ford to sell you an F-150 without nuts and bolts, we also will not provide you with images that are unfinished.

WHAT IF I WANT THE RAW/UNEDITED IMAGES?

Please refer to previous question.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

Canon EOS R6's, Canon 5D Mark IV's, various Canon and Sigma lenses, 600 EX RT II Speedlites, Godox AD200's, MacBook Pros, Photoshop, Lightroom, PASS, and other lighting equipment.

DO YOU HAVE BACK-UP CAMERAS & LENSES?

Yes, tons!

CAN YOU HELP US WITH OUTFIT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OUR SESSION?

Absolutely, if you’re having trouble deciding between an outfit or two or what color scheme, give us a shout, we’re always happy to help.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ADVENTURE SESSION AND A REGULAR PORTRAIT SESSION?

Time involved and distance traveled.  For our most of our adventure sessions, we are usually driving/hiking to a more remote location and sometimes multiple locations.  Generally these sessions are going to be 2-3+ hours depending on where we go.  For more traditional portrait sessions, they may still have that adventure look and vibe but ultimately they are a little less involved logistically and are around 60-90 minutes.

DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?

No, but we can travel to indoor locations and shoot, such as your home. We have indoor lighting equipment and flashes to help deal with the dim lighting.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO SHOOT OUTDOORS?

Sunrise and sunset, so this is always our first recommendation for your session!  We can also shoot outside of these times but the lighting is not always as ideal.  That being said we’re used to shooting in all lighting situations so just let us know what would be best for your schedule.

I LOVE YOUR WORK!  HOW DO I RESERVE YOU TO PHOTOGRAPH MY ELOPEMENT / WEDDING?

Once we receive a signed copy of your wedding contract and a deposit (which is a non-refundable retainer) – your date is saved. Please note that email inquiries do not guarantee any client to a particular date.  It is not unusual for us to receive multiple inquiries for most dates during wedding season, and therefore the date remains open until a contract is signed and deposit is paid.

WHY DO YOU HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER FOR SHOOTS?

My husband and I are dynamic team who not only take awesome shots together, but we also make you feel like you are family.  Having a second photographer also gives you another creative eye to capture your special day.  We can be in 2 places at 1 time meaning more angles, moments, and memories and it also allows us to utilize more dynamic lighting techniques for those wow images!

DO YOU OFFER PRODUCTS SUCH AS CANVAS PRINTS, COFFEE TABLE BOOKS, AND ALBUMS?

Yes we do! We work with professional printers/vendors in the industry to bring you the best quality there is to offer!
