What do happy tears, teton views, and one of the coolest places to stay in Jackson Hole have in common? Jack and Jessika’s beautiful surprise proposal of course! It’s no secret by now, we get to help a lot of amazing couples capture the big moment, especially during the summer time when the weather is absolutely perfect in Jackson! When we connected with Jack back in June, the first thing that was apparent to us was how crazy he was about Jessika. Just being transparent, we do get a lot of guys that reach out and let us know they’re only doing so because they know she wants a photographer (lol), I don’t judge, we get it. But then we get guys proposing like Jack, who are just as excited about the process. After some discussion about him and Jessika and his plan/vision, Jack suggested capturing the proposal where they were staying. They were staying at Tammah Jackson Hole. Having driven by and ridden our bikes by Tammah literally a few dozen times over the past couple of years, we were excited to explore more of the property and naturally, excited to help Jackson bring his vision to life for his proposal!
Once we nailed down all of the details, all that was left to do was wait about a month and a half. On the day of, we arrived a few minutes early to get the lay of the land. After a quick scout, we were even more excited! The spot was literally perfect! If you’re saying to yourself, what the heck is Tammah? (click here). It is what I would describe as the ultimate glamping experience. Their Geodomes offer breathtaking panoramic views of the grand teton range. They provide an immersive experience making you feel like you’re right in nature but at the same time offering all of the modern comforts that many have grown accustomed to when traveling. It doesn’t hurt that they are also insulated so no matter what the season, you’ll be comfy kicking back and taking it all in. Whether you’re looking to hit the slopes in the winter, or unplug and read a good book during the summer. It definitely offers something for everyone. In Jack’s case, it offered a space and backdrop that were second to none, but it also provided privacy. So many of our proposal inquiries stress their concerns about privacy and during peak season in the national park, while there are some strategies to avoid the crowds, there’s never a guarantee. At Tammah Jackson Hole, we didn’t have to worry about anyone else being in their spot, hikers walking through after a long day on the trails, or a crowded parking situation (you name it, we’ve seen it). The plan was to let Jessika know he booked a small portrait session for them to celebrate while they were traveling and when timing was right, give the signal to go into his proposal. We would say everything went exactly how it was supposed to but honestly, it was better. Jack and Jessika were both overwhelmed with happy tears shortly after Jack popped the question. Their chemistry on camera was undeniable, and these two rocked it all the way into sunset. Also, I was would be remiss if I didn’t mention just how gorgeous Jessika’s dress was (insert heart eyes here). As always, we hope you all enjoy following along and for those searching for something different as a proposal location, definitely consider booking a couple of nights at Tammah, it’s so worth it!
