One our absolute favorite weddings from this summer was Kendra and Clay’s beautiful elopement in The Grand Tetons! Kendra reached out about 6 months prior to her and Clay’s special day and we could tell from the get go that they were going to be such a fun and sweet couple to work with! After connecting on the phone and learning more about their story and how they both came together, it really felt divine. They both held a strong belief that God and their faith had also brought them together, which made us love this couple even more.
In the continued communications leading up to their special day, Kendra kept telling us how excited she was which made us even more excited as their day approached. In person Kendra and Clay were every bit as sweet and genuine as they were on the phone. Kendra could hardly contain her excitement and Clay was the epitome of a gentleman. It felt like instant rapport, there was only one problem (this story had to have some drama right!?) Just kidding, more of a minor curveball. Everything was lining up for a perfect sunrise elopement that morning outside of Jackson Hole, the only problem. Mother nature didn’t get the memo. We had initially planned on doing everything at Schwabacher landing, but when we arrived the fog and clouds had completely covered the beautiful view of the Tetons. Fortunately we saw a perfect clearing on the way in and we made a quick pivot to a location just as beautiful as Kendra and Clay’s bond. It made for a perfect backdrop as Kendra and Clay shared vows, laughs, and happy tears. It was idyllic and a special time we won’t soon forget.
