Capturing a surprise proposal is always a special moment, but when it happens at a stunning location like Mormon Row in Jackson Hole, it becomes unforgettable. Mike planned an incredible evening for McKenzie, turning what she thought was a simple dinner outing into a surprise proposal during the golden hour in Grand Teton National Park. This blog shares the story of their engagement, the breathtaking setting, and of course a few beautiful moments to follow!

Mormon Row is one of the most iconic spots in Jackson Hole, known for its historic barns (TA Moulton Barn & John Moulton Barn mainly) and stunning views of the Grand Teton mountains. The location offers a unique blend of rustic charm and natural beauty, making it a favorite for photographers and couples alike. Mike chose this spot carefully. The wide-open fields, the silhouette of the old barns, and the towering peaks in the background create a dramatic yet peaceful atmosphere. The timing was just right too. Golden hour bathed everything in warm, soft light that made the scene glow. Mike had everything planned to surprise McKenzie. They dressed up for the evening, and McKenzie’s outfit was stunning! As the sun began to dip behind the mountains, Mike led McKenzie to a quiet spot near the barns. The golden light wrapped around them, creating a perfect backdrop. When he got down on one knee, the moment felt intimate and timeless.

McKenzie’s surprise and joy were clear. The emotion in her eyes, the gentle squeeze of her hug, and the soft smile made the moment unforgettable! After the proposal, Mike and McKenzie's glow continued. Their excitement and happiness translated into their engagement photos. They moved with ease in front of the camera, their connection shining through every frame. We captured them walking hand in hand through the fields, standing against the backdrop of the majestic Tetons, and sharing quiet moments near the historic barns.
