Winter Proposal in The Grand Tetons : C + M

Updated: May 6

Snowy Surprise Mountain Proposal

We told you this winter was full of so many amazing couples!  One of the most memorable from this snowy season was Christopher and Marissa’s surprise proposal in the Grand Tetons!  Following one of the more recent trends we’ve experienced, their proposal session was initially disguised as a family portrait session!  Christopher’s mom reached out to us to help him plan everything discretely.  Having worked with hundreds of couples to help them plan the perfect proposal to their special someone, it’s also becoming more and more common to have someone reach out on behalf of the couple to help them plan everything.  For a lot of couples, this approach can be easier because instead of being limited in your communication to plan everything in order to keep it a surprise, someone can do all of the communication for you.  For most of our couples this process has proven to be pretty seamless and Christopher & Marissa’s was no exception.

The plan was to start out at Mormon Row with some traditional family combos and move on to Glacier View Turnout for more breakdowns with each family and couple.  Once the moment and light was perfect, we would have Christopher and Marissa do a few couple’s portraits and Christoper would go into his proposal when he was ready.  Safe to say, everything went off without a hitch!  The cherry on top was the added surprise of Marissa’s parents showing up moments after she said yes.  It was hugs all around and these cuties rocked a few engagement photos to finish up a perfect evening in the the Tetons!
